This wonderfully challenging assignment from 22squared Atlanta pivoted around the creation and production of “The Safest Bike in the World”. In collaboration with the agency, Toyota and Priority Bikes in New York City, we developed our own briefing for what was to be the prototype for an ultra safe commuter bike with safety technology based on the innovations of the latest Toyota Camry. From the initial feature brainstorms over research, towards the final prototype bike and its in-traffic testing, this was a very complex and satisfying project at the same time. It was inspiring to be part of a venture that could potentially save lives in the future.
Some of the safety features inspired by Toyota technology are LiDAR Technology for 360 degrees object detection, an acceleration-based headlight system and an actual full blown Toyota Camry horn.
